Neighborhood Watch Groups on Facebook
Posted on Oct 10th, 2024
“I’ve seen some people post videos from their surveillance cameras, saying hey, here’s some suspicious activity that we saw,” said Cerise Peck, Crime Prevention Specialist with the Richland Police Department.
They followed it up with a phone call at that time to us, which is exactly what we’re asking for.” Peck says this also gives police extra eyes on your neighborhood when you’re reporting things that you know are out of place.
“We are able to see what they’re reporting to their neighbors, and that gives us a better idea of what’s going on, and then we’re able to communicate, give them tips or pointers or respond with a question.”
If you have any questions or need assistance, please call our Crime Prevention Specialist, Cerise Peck 509-942-7636 or message us on the RPD Facebook Page.
